Along my research career I have been applying effective field theories (EFT) to the face some of the most challenging problems in hadron physics. In particular, I have been trying to apply EFT with baryons to investigate important properties of the nucleon as its scalar coupling (related to the origin of the mass) and electromagnetic properties as the polarizabilities, and charge and magnetic radii. Some of these works provided important contributions to solve some important problems in hadron physics like the “Sigma-term Puzzle”, the “Strangeness Puzzle” and the “Proton Radius Puzzle”, and even reached non-speciallized media. Currently, I'm trying to extend these techniques to the multi-nucleon sector from the rigurous point of view of quantum field theory, incorporating the finite density effects to the Effective Field Theory calculations in order to provide reliable calculations for experimental programs and searches of new physics.
